Have you wanted to have your teeth straightened for quite some time, but you are embarrassed at the thought of being seen wearing metal wires and brackets on your teeth? If so, you will definitely want to visit us at our Alexandria Center of Dentistry. Our expert dentist, Dr. Mohamed Attia, will be able to provide you with orthodontic treatment using Invisalign in Alexandria so that you can finally have the smile you have long dreamed of.

When you come to our dental office regarding treatment with Invisalign in Alexandria, our expert dentist will assess your dental situation to see if you are a good candidate for the treatment. Unfortunately, not all bite problems can be corrected with Invisalign, since Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners to straighten teeth. However, a great many orthodontic problems can be fixed using Invisalign treatment. Once it is determined that you are a good candidate for treatment with Invisalign, CAD/CAM computer technology will be used to create your individualized series of aligners. Depending on the bite problem being corrected, your series of aligners will have anywhere between 15 and 45 aligners in it. Each aligner will be worn for two weeks, and will slowly move your teeth into position for the next aligner in the series. Once you have finished wearing the last aligner in the series, you will have your beautiful new smile. Our patients enjoy treatment with Invisalign because the clear plastic aligners are extremely discreet to wear, since they are virtually invisible while they are being worn. Our patients are also able to eat anything they want during treatment with Invisalign, so this certainly helps to make the experience a pleasant one for them. Treatment with Invisalign takes about the same amount of time as treatment with traditional metal braces.

To see if you are a good candidate for treatment with Invisalign in Alexandria, simply make an appointment to see our dentist at our dental practice.

Have you heard about CEREC crowns, and are wondering if they will work well for you? CEREC crowns are an exciting and innovative way that our patients can receive same-day crowns at our Alexandria Center of Dentistry. Our highly-trained CEREC dentist Alexandria, Dr. Mohamed Attia, can save you lots of time by providing you with same-day CEREC crowns.

Do you have a dental crown that needs to be replaced, but you are dreading spending so much valuable time at your dentist’s office? At our office, you can have dental work performed on a tooth and then get a same-day dental crown all in one short office visit. CEREC crowns are created by our CEREC dentist Alexandria using CAD/CAM computer technology and a special milling machine that we have right here at our dental practice. When a patient needs a dental crown, there is no need to deal with messy impressions. Instead, our dentist will use CEREC technology to take pictures of the new crown site. This information will be immediately sent to our milling system and your new crown will be milled in a matter of minutes! Our dentist will then finalize the crown so that it perfectly matches your adjacent teeth; the crown will be permanently installed and you will be on your way. You will have your beautiful, comfortable and fully-functional permanent crown in your mouth, and can now just go on with your day. When patients get traditional crowns, they need to have a temporary crown installed after the impressions are taken The patient then needs to return when the new crown is back from the lab, and hope that the crown fits correctly. If the crown needs more than minor adjustments, it will need to be returned to the lab, and you will be instructed to return to the dentist’s office days or weeks later. Our patients truly appreciate the benefits, beauty and convenience of our CEREC crowns.

If you have missing or unaesthetic teeth, restoring them with dental crowns may the best way to achieve a better smile. And if you are looking for an Alexandria dentist office that offers a wide array of tooth restoration options, including CEREC crowns, then Alexandria Center of Dentistry is for you.

While working to improve the smiles of our patients, we keep in mind that each face has a unique smile and shouldn’t be a copy of someone else smile. In order to make your smile its best, dental crowns are a great way to restore the form, function, and beauty of your smile. As far as a dental restoration goes, crowns and caps are used synonymously. Crowns are synthetic caps placed on the top of a tooth. They are typically used to restore a tooth’s function and appearance following a restorative procedure, such as a root canal. With the advent of the newest technologies in dental science, our dentist is proud to offer today’s state-of-the-art restorative materials for dental crowns. For example, we now offer the option of “Single Visit Crowns”, using the CEREC crowns. Using high-quality cameras, three-dimensional software, and milling devices, you are able to receive a dental crown in only a single visit. Our Alexandria dentist prepares the tooth by removing all decay and then take an impression using titanium dust which works with the camera to take a detailed photo of the tooth. Detailed images of the tooth using optical imaging are transposed on the computer screen, where the dentist views the tooth from all angles so he/ has the needed visuals to complete the design, which is then transmitting to the milling unit. He then chooses a block of ceramic that closely matches your teeth’s color. And within 15 minutes, the milling unit creates the crown, using compressed porcelain. The dentist then places the dry restoration to ensure fit. Once he determine the fit, he will polish the restoration and affix it to the tooth using dental cement.

Our team believe that people look different, teeth look different, and so every patient receives a customized service. On the other hand, all patients are equally important and treated as friends and family. Our Alexandria dentist will determine the best possible solution to restore your teeth based on your individual needs. If CEREC crowns are right for you, restoring and replacing your teeth will surely restore your beautiful smile in as little as one visit to our dental office.

From an early age, we are taught to take good care of our teeth, gums, and mouth. Often this can feel like a chore, but when your diligence is rewarded with a beautiful, healthy smile, it’s easy to see why proper dental care is so important. Our patients of all ages will learn from our Alexandria dentist that proper dental care and hygiene can easily prevent future problems, such as cavities, gum disease, or tooth decay. Here at Alexandria Center of Dentistry, we are dedicated to creating beautiful, long-lasting smiles for every member in your family.

In an environment that is lighthearted and fun, we will establish oral health habits with you and your family that will last a lifetime. We believe in a preventative approach for one’s oral hygiene by creating and maintaining beautiful and healthy smiles, especially for our younger patients. Teeth, whether natural or with restorations, survive and thrive in an oral environment that is clean and hygienic. Our preventative program is designed to prevent new cavities, preserve restored teeth, and manage periodontal disease. At your initial visit with us, we will do much more than merely clean your teeth and gums. Our Alexandria dentist will perform a complete oral examination. This which includes an oral cancer screening, periodontal (gum) evaluation, and an analysis of your occlusion (bite). This ensures a thorough examination of your teeth, their supporting structures, and of the oral anatomy. Remember, healthy gums are just as important as your actual teeth. Routine teeth cleanings and dental care is an incredibly effective method in preventing future dental problems, such as gum, or periodontal, disease. We also offer dental sealants for our pediatric patients, which are plastic coatings that protect the chewing surface of a child’s back teeth from decay/cavities. Food and germs can get stuck in pits and grooves in the teeth. These sealants fill in the grooves, protecting the teeth from a child’s inevitable consumption of those sticky, sugary foods. Children can get them once their permanent molars come in, before decay attacks the teeth.

If you would like more information about any of the procedures that we offer or to request an appointment, please call our office. With the experience of our Alexandria dentist, we will do everything possible to ensure that your visit is a pleasant and comfortable one. We enjoy providing patients of all ages with the support, kindness, and exceptional services they need to achieve and maintain optimal oral health. Let our family at Alexandria Center of Dentistry take care of the dental needs of your family.

It is incredibly important that people of all ages make sure that they clean your teeth on a daily basis. Aside from brushing every single day, you need to make sure that you brush between meals, and that you also floss daily and rinse with an antibacterial mouthwash in order to help further kill off black and bacteria that can harm your dental health. There are plenty of other good oral hygiene habits that you can incorporate into your daily routine, but it is also important that you schedule professional teeth cleanings as well. If you are in need of an Alexandria teeth cleaning, then our dentist here at Alexander Center for Dentistry can help provide you with the comprehensive care that you need in order to have healthy teeth and healthy gums.

It is incredibly important that your teeth and your gums are clean. This is not only to help you maintain good oral hygiene in terms of having good smelling breath and clean teeth, but it is also important when it comes to limiting the amount of plaque and bacteria that has built up with in your mouth. As you eat throughout the day, plaque and bacteria develop and accumulate along the surface of your tooth enamel as well as along your gumline. These substances can have an acidic reaction with certain carbohydrates that you eat daily, such as sugars and starches. This acidic reaction will eat away at your tooth enamel and harm your gums overtime. This is what leads to the development of cavities as well as gum disease. Tooth decay and gum disease can spread quite easily, and they can pose a threat to the overall integrity of your teeth and your gums. If tooth decay or gum disease are not treated, you will experience tooth loss, tissue loss, and even bone loss as time goes on. This is why brushing flossing is so important to your dental health. But, there is only so much that you can do on your own. Here at Alexander Center for Dentistry our dentist can help by providing you with a comprehensive Alexandria teeth cleaning that is more intensive and thorough than your daily brushing and flossing affair.

With the help of precision tools and things such as tooth scrapers and water pics, our dentist can help get rid of and eliminate more significant and hard to reach plaque and bacteria that will further prevent the likelihood of tooth decay or gum disease from developing. Here at Alexander Center for Dentistry, our dentist can also examine your teeth and gums in order to make sure that you do not already exhibit any signs or symptoms of either condition, and they can even tell you whether you need to adjust your at-home oral hygiene routine in order to do a more complete job. With routine Alexandria teeth cleaning and care you can be sure that your teeth and gums will be perfectly healthy and taken care of.
